We had a Conservatory as a extension to our bungalow lounge in 2011. We had Pilkington Active Blue self cleaning glass and Planitherm S4 glass.
Our Conservatory is South facing. This combination eliminated cleaning and reduced the solar gain This was not enough to stop the conservatory from heating up and in late summer of 2012 we had solar reflecting blinds installed which worked great until July of 2013. We couldn’t sit in the lounge or conservatory until late evening due to the heat. 37deg on many days. We had to have a re-think on how we were going to cope in later years when we wanted to escape the sun during the day.
I started to explore the possibility of air conditioning on the Internet and armed with a little knowledge proceeded to get the professionals in to advise us on our requirements. The advice and recommendations we received did not sit comfortable with me and decided to look for a local family company. Eventually we came across Young Air on the Internet.
I explored their web site and read the testimonials but being a bit of a cynic I wondered if they were truly written by customers so I continued searching for a local company. After more disappointments with so called professional advice I decided to bite the bullet and make telephone contact with Young Air.
When I phoned and spoke to the young lady (no pun intended) it was like a breath of fresh air. Her telephone manner was spot on and I could tell she had a smile in her voice.
We made arrangements for the Managing Director to visit and advise us.
As I had been looking on the Internet I had some preconceived ideas as to what I thought we needed. He was brilliant, he listened to what I said and then very thoughtfully gave me his ideas and recommendations and qualified why he was recommending something so different to my thoughts.
The MD was very patient and talked me through his reasoning in such a way that I was not blinded by science.
Young Air were not the cheapest quote but they were the most professional and we felt comfortable to give them our business.
Young Air have certainly lived up to and exceeded our expectations on every aspect of the customer supplier relationship.
The quality of product and installation was and is first class. We have no hesitation in recommending Young Air and would welcome anybody to view our installation if they wish to see the quality for themselves.
